Professor Luke Wolfenden

Despite significant in investment in the development and testing of health behaviour interventions, most effective interventions are not adopted and implemented into routine community or clinical practice. A primary impediment to successful implementation of behavioural interventions is the limited evidence available to guide efforts to do so. This presentation will outline a number of challenges to the conduct of implementation science research in the context of community-based interventions to prevent chronic disease. It will also outline a number of initiatives currently underway to overcome these challenges.
